Venue Policies

Neighbourhood Policy

We ask all customers to respect the local area and our neighbours, by leaving The Pyramids in a quiet and orderly manner. Please help us to keep the area clean and tidy by placing all rubbish in the bins provided.

Venue Customer Policy

We expect all of our customers as fellow gig and music lovers to not only respect the venue but to respect each other. Help to preserve Portsmouth’s musical heritage by abiding by the following policies whilst within the venue.

Prohibited Items Policy

Prohibited items (such as alcohol, food, camera equipment, etc) are confiscated by our Security team and the customer given a raffle ticket number to collect at the end of the event.
Any food, drink (including alcohol) or chewing gum will be disposed of at the end of the evening if not collected at the end of the event.

Anything of value (cameras, ipads, perfumes, etc) will be deposited with security and kept in the Box Office during the event. If not collected, the items will be placed into a secure location on site, where they will be kept for 3 months.

Any un-opened drinks (i.e bottle of alcohol as a gift) will be kept on-site for 2 days.

All collected items (excluding food/drink/chewing gum) will need to be signed for when producing raffle ticket.

Age Restrictions

Gigs:¬†For most events the venue adopt a 14+ policy, with under 14′s to be accompanied by an adult over 18. Some events do vary so please check the conditions of entry for each specific event. This information will be found via the ‘buy tickets’ link for each individual event.

Club nights: Unless stated, entrance is strictly over 18s, please note that photographic ID may be required so please bring some if you are fortunate enough to look younger than 25.

Sale of Alcohol

Please note we run a Challenge 25 policy, so if you appear to be under the age of 25 please do not be offended if we ask you for ID. If you are fortunate enough to be graced with younger looks then then please bring some appropriate ID with you. This policy is not intended to cause you embarrassment but is important for us to ensure we are serving alcohol responsibly, in line with the licensing act.
